Provo, UT (September 8, 2026) – A 63-year-old bicyclist died after a collision with a vehicle at Lakeview Parkway and the University Avenue off-ramp from I-15 in Provo on Monday morning, September 7. The collision happened at about 8:15 a.m.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, a vehicle exiting the freeway collided with the bicyclist in the intersection. He was transported to Utah Valley Hospital, where he later died.
Police said the driver is cooperating with the investigation and do not believe impairment played a role.
The intersection was expected to reopen between 11:30 a.m. and noon. The Provo Police Department continues to investigate the fatal collision.
