Morgan, UT (September 7, 2026) – On Saturday, September 5, a motorcyclist died in a chain-reaction collision that happened after traffic backed up near a wildfire burning at the mouth of Weber Canyon.
Utah Highway Patrol said a truck struck an SUV that had stopped in the backup, which pushed it into a motorcycle and then into another vehicle. The motorcyclist died in the wreck. No further details about the other people involved have been released.
The backup was tied to the Broad Fire, which started Saturday in Weber Canyon near South Weber.
