Cedar City, UT (August 4, 2026) – A head-on wreck near Cedar City on Monday, August 3, killed one driver and left another hospitalized. The collision occurred at about 5:30 p.m. on State Route 14 near mile marker 21, approximately 20 miles east of the city.
Investigators believe a Ford F-150 was traveling east when the driver entered the westbound lane to pass slower traffic in a no-passing zone. The truck then collided head-on with an approaching Honda Civic.
Cedar Mountain Fire crews arrived and extricated one person from each vehicle. The Honda driver was the only person in the car and died at the crash site.
